Basketball is in his blood. Our conversation with Bryant Head Coach, Phil Martelli Jr.

Phil Martelli Jr. was born to be a basketball coach. From being raised by one of the most well-known names in the D1 coaching world and a three-time women's basketball national champion, to grinding it out as an assistant at schools up the Eastern seaboard, Martelli Jr. finally got his break in November 2023, being promoted to Bryant's head basketball coach. 

Coach Martelli joins the show this week to discuss all things Bryant hoops - from the emergence of Sherif Gross-Bullock, to the resurgence of Connor Withers, to knocking off a top-10 Florida Atlantic team a few weeks ago and playing Cincinnati to a tight contest.  We learn about Martelli's past as a co-captain of the Saint Joseph's University basketball team with Jameer Nelson, his tight relationships with many in the coaching industry, and coaching former NBA role players like Nate Robinson and Tiago Splitter in the G-League.
