A pair of Bryant University Bulldogs have been invited to the NFL.

Once Mr. Irrelevant is selected in the NFL draft, the undrafted free agent markets opened up, and hundreds of players signed to teams with the goal of making the final rosters. Additionally, a handful of players were also invited to tryouts at rookie mini camps.

There are 858 football colleges spanning five different division levels, and in Smithfield, Rhode Island - two Bryant University standouts landed on teams with the hopes of making the most.

Defensive End, Kenny Dyson Jr, signed with the Panthers after spending the past five seasons in Smithfield. He accumulated 47 games under his belt, and crushing opposing offenses with 25.5 sacks, 111 tackles, and 35 tackles for losses. He was a 3x All-Conference Selection, spanning across the NEC ('21), Big South ('22) and Big South-OVC ('23). After trading Brian Burns to the Giants, Carolina's defensive front is on the weaker side. Veterans A'Shawn Robinson and Shy Tuttle lead the unit, but this could pose for Dyson to earn a spot if the depth is needed.

Anthony Frederick, wide receiver and return specialist, was invited to Tennessee Titans Rookie Mini-Camp. He was one of Bryant's leaders in stats, ranking second all-time in receiving TDs (20) and fifth all-time in 3,775 all-purpose yards. He became the second player in DI program history to record 2,000 yards and 20 TDs in his career. The Titans are pretty loaded up in the wideout department, with Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, Treylon Burks, leading the room, but you never know what the team is eying on special teams.

As a Bryant Alumni, this is incredible to see. The last time we saw a Bryant footballer make it to the big leagues was Thomas Kennedy back in 2019. He's been between the Lions practice squad and active roster a few times, with his most notable achievement being his first NFL touchdown back in 2022, where he threw a 75-yard TD pass on a trick play.
