Spring is here, and we've made it back to baseball season! Here are some of my favorite prop bets for opening day, along with game picks for each team's opener.
Prop Bets:
Gerrit Cole OVER 1.5 Earned Runs (-135): The Yankees are arguably the best team in the league this year, and Cole their best Pitcher. However, with a 2.88 ERA vs. the Jays, expect the Yankees offense to be the ones to bring New York to victory today.
Bryce Harper OVER 0.5 Homers (+400): A home run prop is always worth throwing at least a unit towards on opening day solely for the fun of it, and Bryce Harper is as solid a pick as any to put your money on. Harper has homered on Opening Day 2015-2017, and twice on Opening Day in 2018. While he struggles against lefties, Harper has two career homers against Braves opening day starter Max Fried.
