Pain. The Big East did not help me yesterday. Neither did Texas. I was smitten by Patrick Ewing, Dan Hurley, and Shaka Smart. Other than that I was happy that I trusted my gut with the Iona covering plus Ohio and UCLA upsets. Now the real fun begins, this is where we will see who is built for March.
My Locks
· Rutgers +7.5 (+280)
· Florida/Oral Roberts u149.5 (-110)
· WVU/Syracuse u147 (-110)
· Oklahoma St. -6 (-110)
· Baylor -6 (-110)
· Baylor/Wisconsin o136.5 (-110)
Fun fact, in all of the WVU/Syracuse matchups, the over has never hit. In addition, none of the games even came close to 147 points. Take that as you would.
I am so bullish on Rutgers. Loved what they did against Clemson, and I feel Houston is one of the most overrated 2 seeds. Love that they are the dogs, and I expect them to cover the spread and possibly even cause the upset.
Rest of My Board
· Oral Roberts +8.5 (-110)
· Illinois -7.5 (-110)
· OSU/Oregon St. o141 (-110)
· Texas Tech ML (-130)
Pyscho Pick - North Texas ML (+220)
After taking down Purdue in their own backyard, North Texas looks like a very strong #13 seed, and they not a great match-up on paper for Villanova. They squeaked one out against a determined Winthrop, and it is apparent the Collin Gillespie was the winning variable for the team's success. North Texas can control the tempo of this game and play staunch defense against the Wildcats. The Mean Green kept their opponents to under 65 points in 18 of their 27 games. We have seen Nova go on some cold scoring streaks during games, and that cannot happen against North Texas. Give be the Mean Green Money Line.
