Bryant Bulldogs: The Dawgs win their home opener by a whopping 108 points verse Thomas College.

Bad day for Thomas College +109 bettors. Great day for your Bryant University Bulldogs. You can tell there is a new excitement and buzz with this team. Coach Jared Grasso has built a program that people are appreciating and fans are excited for. The Chace was filled with students and the team gave them quite the show.

Now I know two things. 1, the Thomas College Terriers are a DIII school and two, it's the first game of the season, but as a fan and alumni, you have to be excited for what's to come.

In a night filled with eight players scoring double digits, here's what we saw.

Charles Pride is due for big things this season

Leading the team with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists, Pride picked up right where he left off. He was near perfect from the field and got it done on both sides of the ball. Rebounding both glasses, making plays for the rest of the team, and draining shots across the floor. Charles Pride will lead this team to great things. There's a reason why he's on the watch list as one of the top shooting guards in the country.

Doug Edert can still shoot

The derby darling can in fact still shoot, and are we surprised? Coach Grasso said Edert is going to have the opportunity to take multiple threes per game, and when he connects, it's game over. Doug Edert had a cool 19 points, going 7-12 with his shots and hitting 50% of his threes. He also picked four steals in the game. A dual threat!

Earl Timberlake is different

The former top-100 prospect is going to be lethal for the Bulldogs. Adding a guy like Timberlake to this lineup is going to be tremendous come March.

The Dawgs have the pace and the three-ball

Jared Grasso has created one of the fastest teams in the country, and they'll have shooters from their entire roster. The Bulldogs knocked down 64.0% of their shots, and 52.8% of their threes. Sherif Gross-Bullock dropped 22 points, Tyler Brelsford drained three-3s, and the entire roster was involved in the scoring party. It was a rock-solid first game, hopefully many more to come in the near future. Bryant takes on Dartmouth this Friday.
