Incoming Woj Bomb... a name that has been tied to the Knicks for years. Kemba Walker, the Bronx Native, the 4x All-Star, a true point guard, is joining Julius Randle and Company on the New York Knicks. Imagine swapping out Elfrid Payton for CARDIAC KEMBA?!
First Fournier, now Walker. I hate being the sloppy seconds for the Celtics, but who cares. This is a good move. He is a scorer, he can create an offense for Randle and Barrett, and he is a star-caliber player that the Garden craves. Even in a down season, Kemba averaged 19.3 points per game along with 4.9 assists, while shooting 36% from the three-point line. This is exactly what the team needed. A lineup of Kemba-Fournier-RJ-Julis-Mitch, with a second team consisting of DRose-Obi-IQ-Burks, you really love to see it. 4th seed last year, and the only way is up! I am hyped.
I am honestly surprised that OKC bought him out. If anything, I thought a trade would've been in the works, but hey fine by me! Kemba had $74M left on his contract and the Knicks are off the hook for that one.
