Georgetown University was facing Little Rock College in one of their last games before the holidays. Friend of the program, John Fanta, was on the call. It was supposed to be an easy win for the Hoya’s, but Little Rock’s Ryan Pippins wasn’t going out without a fight. In the final seconds of regulation, Pippins sank a 30 foot three pointer to send the game to overtime.
Without hesitation as the shot was hit, Fanta yells “We’re going into overtime in DC... Ryan Pippins...Christmas comes early!”
In honor of our friend John, we’ve created a holiday brew to commemorate his call. Christmas Comes Early is a Cinnamon and Vanilla cream ale, perfect with Christmas cookies and a college hoops game.
