A few weeks ago and for the first time in 24 years, Tulane University became a Top 25-ranked college football team. They now sit at 16, slowly but surely working their way up to the top 10.
The Bayou has been buzzing for this little team that could, and what should have been College Gameday this weekend (cough cough you blew that one ESPN), we will all be watching No. 22 UCF and your 16th ranked Tulane Green Wave.
If Basel not rocking the merch gets you hyped, then their stats should easily convince you. They've won 5 straight games in their 8-1 record, and for us gamblers, they are 6-2 ATS. Quarterback Michael Pratt is casually completing 66% of his passes, tallying 1,843 yards with 14 TDs. Tyjae Spears, the running back, leads the team with 745 yards on the ground with 10 scores. The duo has lead Tulane averaging a steady 32.2 PPG over the last five games.
The spreads sits at -1.5, and it's worth noting that Tulane has covered the spread in seven consecutive games against conference opponents, and it has also covered the spread in five of the last six meetings between these teams. Tulane is at home, where it’s 26-11 ATS over the last five seasons.
Force of nature, force majeure, it don't matter, I am guaranteeing the Tulane W. If you aren't riding the Green Wave this weekend, you clearly don't love fun.
