Happy Turkey Day! Nothing says fun with your family like gambling on all three of today's football games! Whether you're trying to make some quick Black Friday cash, or just flex on your cousins with your superior picks, here are some of Will Tondo and I's favorite Thanksgiving Day Props!
Game 1: Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions-12:30
Tondo:
Lions M/L (+125)
It’s not a prop bet but it’s an anomaly for the winless Lions. Dan Campbell deserves a Happy Thanksgiving and the Lions are itching for a win. They are getting closer and closer every week and this might be the nail in the coffin for Matt Nagy.
Basel:
D'Andre Swift OVER 69.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
I hate to get cocky, but this one is the biggest lock on the board for me. As pitiful as the Lions have been so far this season, Swift has been a shining light for Detroit fans and fantasy owners everywhere. Against one of the wort rushing defenses in the league, and on Thanksgiving, expect Swift to ball out.
Game 2: Las Vegas Raiders at Dallas Cowboys-4:30
Tondo:
Ezekiel Elliot ANYTIME TD (-175)
In his four career Thanksgiving games, Elliott has rushed for over 400 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns. I like the odds on this one. Expect his workload to be elevated if Cooper and Lamb are sidelined.
Derek Carr OVER 1.5 Passing TDs (-130)
If the Cowboys defense is still shell shocked, then this should hit no doubt. He’s passed for two touchdowns in 7 out of 10 games played, including games against the Chiefs, Steelers, Ravens, and Chargers.
Basel:
Darren Waller UNDER 69.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
The Cowboys defense has been pretty kind to tight ends in 2021, allowing just about 62 yards per game to players in that position. However, they've shone in locking down some top TEs in big moments, such as limiting the best TE in the league Travis Kelce to just 74 yards last week.
Game 3-Buffalo Bills at New Orleans Saints-8:20
Tondo:
Josh Allen UNDER 276.5 Passing Yards (-110)
The Bills offense is broken at the moment, and with a short week and a stout Saints defense, I don’t think things are going to get better today. Their defense is averaging less than 230 yards a game, so I would say this is a safe pick.
Basel:
Devin Singletary OVER 25.5 Rushing Yards (-120)
With Allen under some extra pressure, and the Saints run defense giving up some decent yards against the Eagles last week, expect a lot of Buffalo's late offense to run through back like Singletary. 25.5 was probably set due to Allen's inclination to pass, so take this one in a parlay.
Dawson Knox OVER 3.5 Receptions Made (+305)
Knox has been an absolute beast so far when healthy. In short pass situations, Allen is going to look to dump to Knox, so we should see him get close to the 10 targets he saw against Indianapolis last week. The Saints have allowed an average of 4.8 made receptions to Tight Ends per game, so expect Knox to cause some trouble for the folks in the Big Easy.
Happy Thanksgiving! See you Sunday!
