I grew up in Connecticut, and there were no shortage of New York sports fans around me. I went the route of the Yankees for my baseball fandom...how can you not love Derek Jeter?! For just about everything else, it was Boston. I was a Patriots die-hard, (admittedly) a Bruins casual, and sort of a passive NBA fan...some days I'd watch the Knicks, others the Celtics, but NEVER the Nets.
So, Saturday's game was special. Lots close to me are New York Rangers fans, so to read the starting lineup for the boys in blue was something I was happy I had the chance to do. TD Garden was near capacity, the noise was off the chains, and there were plenty of Rangers fans in the building as well. So, naturally, this video went right to my friends...along with a little smack talk.
