It's time for another Two Friends release! Big Bootie Mix 21 review.

It's that time of the year again. Weather is warming up, summer is upon us, and Two Friends just dropped their latest Big Bootie Mix. All is well in the world. I wish I was outside with my friends ripping this up like in College, but alas I am home "working". I've been a fan for years, and I am always excited as ever when these mixes drop.

So with out further ado and to the people of Big Bootie Land... let's start listening

The Highlights

2:05 to 3:15

"Somebody Told Me" - The Killers

"Because of You" - Kelly Clarkson

"Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" - Daft Punk

When Two Friends mixes three different genres into one banging mashup to kick it off, you know it's about to be an absolute heater...

6:30 to 7:20

"Luke Skywalker" - Miguel

"Whiskey Glasses" - Morgan Wallen

I don't know why I vibed heavy with this mix, but I did. I like both of these songs and I don't think they get enough credit.

9:15 to 10:30

"abcdefu" - Gayle

"Bad and Boujee" - Migos

Past and Present viral bangers. I felt like I was in two different stages of my life.

11:40 to 13:11

"How Far I'll Go - Moana" - Auli'i Cravalho "Gimme Shelter" - Rolling Stones

"Gold Digger" - Kanye West

"No Type" - Rae Sremmurd

This quartet of songs had me out of my seat. I was floored. Unreal combo, probably one of the best in the whole mix.

19:01 to 19:48

"Cut It" - O.T. Genasis

"Industry Baby" - Jack Harlow

"Closing Time" - Semisonic

Another interesting trio of songs, that for some reason, all make sense together. It kind of went hard not going to lie.

22:20 to 23:36

"Hey Mama" - David Guetta

"We are never ever getting back together" - Taylor Swift

"Semi-Charmed Life" - Third Eye Blind

I respect Two Friends incorporation of Taylor Swift in this mix. You throw in Third Eye Blind and I am immediately hooked. Hey Mama kicking it off was perfection.

27:45 to 28:30

"No Woman No Cry" - The Wailers

"Piano Man" - Billy Joel

*** BILLY JOEL SIGHTING, LFG ****

31:15 to 32:27

"Superstition" - Stevie Wonder

"What's Luv?" - Fat Joe

"I hate College" - Sammy Adams

"Country Grammar" - Nelly

You're going to need to hear this one yourself.

34:00 to 35:13

"Free Fallin'" - Tom Petty

"Easy On Me" - Adele

"I Love Rock N' Roll" - Joan Jett & the Blackhearts

Again, I didn't know I needed to hear these songs together, but damn.

36:28 to 37:14

"Shut Up and Dance" - Walk The Moon

"Cold Heart" - Dua Lipa and Elton John

"Life's Too Short" - Fitz & The Tantrums / Two Friends Collab

"All of Me" - John Legend

What a combination that is about to lead into absolute heat. Trust me, this ten minutes is as best as it can be...

45:20 to 47:29

"I Don't Like" - Chief Keef

"That's what I like" - Bruno Mars

"Save a Horse" - Big & Rich

"Beggin'" - Maneskin

"Do it To it" - Cherish

"Don't Start Now" - Dua Lipa

"Just a Girl" - No Doubt

THAT WAS IT! That's the snippet I'll remember the most. Unreal.

50:10 to 50:46

"Royals" - Lorde

"Hotel Room Service" - Pitbull

Two songs that have a core memory from high school. Nothing crazy but just a very solid mix IMO.

55:30 to 57:30

"Young and Beautiful" - Lana Del Rey

"One Headlight" - The Wallflowers

"Paradise" - Bazzi

"Ballin'" - Mustard

"Jumper" - Third Eye Blind.

Yes, Woah, did I just? Nvm, Woah...

Rating

Well... that was freaking great. My head was bopping the entire time. No misses in my book.

Top to bottom, this mix had the perfect flow. The first 30 minutes set the pace strong. I thought the ratio to EDM-to-not was perfect. Great synergy between different types of genres. Great combination of new and old. Their transitions were great compared to BB20, which I was happy to hear. The close out was pretty solid, not enough to propel it over 15 or 11, might be my bias, but it was still very very good.

My rating?

9.5 out of 10
