Sigh. Graham Gano missing the field goal at the end is one, rare, and two, demoralizing. Honestly, the Giants deserved to lose that game, so tying this contest is a gift from God. Obviously, it's better than a loss. The Giants still hold onto a playoff spot, but it feels like a loss.
It was a weird game to say the least. Infuriating many of times, pleasing in some other cases. Daniel Jones threw for 200 yards, plus him and Saquon combined for 30 rushes and 134 yards. Yet the offense only scored 20 points. Play action and 3rd downs were the kryptonite of this team, and true colors were starting to show.
The Giants pass rush was in it's full for the first time all season. That resulted in five sacks, including Azeez Ojulari returning to play this season and making an immediate impact. Yet, Commanders QB, Taylor Heinicke threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, Brian Robinson was near 100 yards rushing, and Terry McLaurin eclipsed over 100 yards receiving.
Again, it's a tie, so not bad, but what is there to celebrate? This team was exposed and they blew an overtime chance to close it out. The schedule doesn't get easier next week...
