Met Life: Elite white jerseys, a great Manning Cast, and solid Daniel Jones play still leads to loss

To say there was hype surrounding this game is an understatement. The stage was set and the sights were dialed in on starting the season 3-0. All week, the Giants were hyping up the whiteout game, and honestly, the jersey's didn't disappoint. These were some of the freshest jersey's I've seen in a minute. The cool white with the crisp helmet. *Chefs Kiss*

Monday Night Football means dinner with the Manning Brothers. Eli Manning was wearing his Giants sweater, Peyton dawning a Chad Powers Tee. The banter was on point, the guests were chatting it up (Tracy Morgan was on one though), it was set to be a successful night. Plus the Cowboys were without Dak Prescott.

But alas, back to reality. 3-0 was positive thinking, but it wasn't meant to be. To be honest, I am that disappointed in the loss. The boys held their own, they just came up short. Nobody envisioned Cooper Rush to toss over 200 yards today. The defense allowed a mere 23 points, it was the offense that couldn't generate the buzz. Saquon Barkley still has it though. When he is healthy, man is he dangerous.

I don't blame the loss on Daniel Jones. He was doing anything and everything to put the Giants in position to win this game. His final stat line doesn't do justice for how he was playing. The fact that he rushed for 75 yards, while being sacked five times, shows what kind of night it was like for him.

The narrative online will be that he doesn't have it in him, especially when we was aiming for the comeback but threw a pick to end the game. It wasn't a shit throw or his fault. David Sills lost his footing, but still, it was a gut wrenching way to lose.

The most concerning thing to happen tonight was at the end of the game, Sterling Shepard had to get carted off and was grabbing his knee. The Met Life turf strikes again. A ton of Giants and Cowboys swarmed the cart to dap him up. That's never a great sign. He's been a warrior for this team, and took a pay cut to be here. I hope this isn't the way his season ends.

Next Game

Time to get back in the win column. Sunday matinee against the Chicago Bears. If you think the Giants offense is bland, you should see the other guy. Maybe Toney can prove why he was worth trading down in the draft last year? Either way, I expect a win.
