Met Life: The Giants win a meaningless game in November. What we learned today and what to do now?

The New York Football Giants have won back-to-back games with starting quarterback... Tommy DeVito. Now yes, they were against two sub .500 teams in the Commanders and Patriots, but still. Tommy DeVito has lead the Giants out of the dumpster to now make people questioning - what to do now?

As you can see, the whole world is leaning in on the Italian-American. The hand gesture, the family, the Sopranos, the five million times Fox referenced how he likes chicken-cutlet. Listen, I am all for it, but at what cost? What is the plan with this Giants 2023 season. I said this last week, you never root for your team to lose, but what are we rooting for? Are we seriously thinking of drafting a quarterback? Because I really don't want Bo Nix in the first round. Drake Maye has been on the team's radar, so unless they are jumping up in the draft (which Joe Schoen doesn't do), are they looking elsewhere or riding with Daniel Jones? Well, are they riding with the passing paisan now? Did they just discover the next Brock Purdy? Again, I am all over the place because I don't know how I feel.

This team is way too talented to be a top-5 draft pick team, but they are too injured to make a serious impact, let alone propel themselves into the playoffs. But could they? They have the bye this week, which hopefully lets guys like Dexter Lawrence and Andrew Thomas strengthen up. If you look at the schedule and the standings, the Giants are three games back in the loss column for the 7th seed. They then have the Packers, Saints, Eagles twice, and the Rams. You'd have to imagine Philly rests their guys for week 18, and the other games are very winnable. Do the Giants f-around and go 8-9, 9-8? Will that even matter?

Either way, it was nice seeing the team win today. It was even sweeter witnessing the downfall of the Patriots. Mac Jones was benched for the fourth time this season, and tossed three picks. Jaylin Hyatt is a future star, eclipsing 109 yards on 5 catches. Thibodeuax brings his sack total to 11.5, continuing to prove he is the future of this team's defense. From the videos above, this team looked refreshed. They were having fun again.

The biggest concern came from Jay Glazer in the pregame, saying that there is tension between Brian Daboll and Wink Martindale, which could result in the defensive coordinator leaving at the end of the season. First all, these are grown men, and tensions could get high especially with how the season has shaken out thus far. However, Wink is a vital component of this Giants team, and by the looks of it, it seems to be only media propaganda.
