Holy shit...
For the first time since 2016, the Giants have won a week 1, have a record over .500, and had multiple offensive players over 65 yards. That's a change in the right direction. Screw the boat picture, it's a new team and new culture. These are Daboll's Giants!
To say I am stunned is an understatement. I put money down on the Giants, because I have to, but I truly was not expecting this win. When the Giants were down 10-0 , I thought the game was over. When Danny Dimes threw that interception, and Daboll was yelling at him on the sidelines. I thought we were toast. When the Giants defense made Dontrell Hillard look like a OPOY candidate, I was embarrassed. But NOPE. This team has fight.
It wasn't pretty at times, but there was a lot to be happy about. The defense never broke. Even at times when the linebacker position showed it's weakness, the team held Derick Henry to only 82 yards. Daniel Jones was near perfect, going 17-for-21 with 2 TD's and an interception. Shepard brought in 73 yards and a score, but the best of them all with Barkley. I loved seeing Saquon back in action. 18 carries, 164 yards. 1 TD and a 2PT Conversion. Arguably the best game of his career. The fact that the Giants outrushed the Titans was beyond shocking.
Coach Daboll putting his balls on the table and going for the win over the tie, was God Damn perfect. Jones to Saquon Barkley shovel pass was a monster hit. successful,
