One Win Away: Pac-12 Championship Preview

First off, can we get some FTFOs in the chat?

I've been back in LA for a little over a week, and I've witnessed some of the most exciting USC football ever.

Now, USC will play in the Pac-12 Title game against Utah Friday night. The path for USC is simple: win and they are in the College Football Playoff.

USC's one loss this season came against Utah in a heartbreaking 43-42 loss. That seems like almost an eternity ago. USC is coming in on a 5 game win streak including statement wins against UCLA and Notre Dame.

Win this game and the Trojans are a lock to be either the no. 3 or 4 seed in the College Football Playoff. In case you forgot, this is Lincoln Riley's FIRST season at USC and getting into the playoff as a first year coach is unheard of.

I'm not gonna lie, I am nervous for sure. It feels nice for USC to control their own destiny, but I am definitely nervous. It kinda feels like I've been riding this high for two weeks now that will come crashing down on Friday night. I'm going to try to stay positive but my inner Frank the Tank tells me otherwise.

However, I have a lot of faith in Heisman front runner, Caleb Williams. I love college football and have loved it for a long long time, however watching him on Saturday night against Notre Dame really restored it. He was spectacular and the play, the one everyone is referring to as his "Heisman moment," was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. I am so excited for him to return next year to USC. The tanking for him next year in the NFL will be historic.

Here is the play one more time incase you have been living under a rock:

Whatever happens Friday night, I can confidently say that college football is back in the city of Los Angeles. On Saturday, the Coliseum had 75,000 people there which is INSANE. Last year, they were lucky to get 5,000. Even USC junior defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu noticed it.

"No disrespect to our fans, but that was the first time I’d seen that many people in the stands going crazy, being loud throughout the whole game.” (Yahoo Sports)

Here is a tweet to see how pretty crazy the difference is from last year to this year.

USC is currently a 3 point favorite (-150 ML) against Utah. Game is Friday night from Las Vegas, Nevada at 5 PM PST.
