Sunday Spreads Season 3, Volume 15: Two Types of Football Today!

It's a beautiful day when the NFL and World Cup align, and an even better one when their start times don't overlap, meaning that France and Argentina will serve as the ultimate appetizer to a full day on the gridiron! After two titans of the international stage duke it out for the world's greatest title, let Tondo and I guide you through Week 15 with spreads for every Sunday game.

Basel's ATS 2022: 43-49-2 (2-4 Week 14)

Tondo's ATS 2022: 48-39-6 (2-3 Week 14)

Basel's Week 15 Picks

1 PM Games

Detroit Lions at New York Jets

As the Jets enter this week with Zach Wilson back in the starting slot against a Detroit team that rolled over Minnesota last week, I would lean the Lions, but a one-point spread is tough. This Jets team is talented when Wilson doesn't make costly mistakes, and I think a single point can leave this one in the hands of special teams or defense making a few big plays for the win today.

Jets -1

Pittsburgh Steelers at Carolina Panthers

What a stinker of a game we have here. I put a lot of faith in the Steelers last and they failed me, but I'm doubling down here today. The Black and Yellow have a pretty solid history against the Panthers, and I won't go against that today.

Steelers +3

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints

I'm honestly hyped to see Desmond Ridder take the field again today for the Falcons, but that doesn't mean I'll be laying my money his way. The Falcons are bad, and even worse on the road. As New Orleans can still technically challenge for the NFC South title, I think they'll look for a decisive win here today.

Saints -4

4 PM Games

Arizona Cardinals at Denver Broncos

Two teams, two injured starting QBs. Call me crazy, but I'm putting my money on McCoy today.

Cardinals +1.5

Tennessee Titans at LA Chargers

Derrick Henry has kind of hit a while in recent games, and while he's a guy that most would expect to just plow through walls, I think he'll need a bit more time before he's back to the stud we know he can be. LA looked great against Miami last Sunday night, and I think they'll be able to find their groove at home for a second consecutive week.

Chargers -3

Cincinnati Bengals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another team who has rediscovered their swagger late, the Bengals should have no problem blasting through a Tampa offense that is crumbing before our very eyes.

Bengals -3.5

Tondo's Week 15 Picks

1 PM Games

Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears

Last time these teams met, we had the double-doink game. Obviously, things have changed, and the Eagles are destined for the Super Bowl, while the Bears confuse their fans and NFL viewers week after week. The Eagles still haven't locked up the one seed, let alone the NFC East. They won't be taking their feet off the breaks just yet, so Eagles -8.5 is reasonable in my eyes.

Dallas Cowboys at Jacksonville Jaguars

Weird line for this game. Definitely some recency bias with the Cowboys barely surviving the Texans and Jaguars easily beating the Titans. 4 point spread is just so wild, so Cowboys -4 is my play.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans

The Chiefs will end up in the AFC Championship, but they allow themselves some flexibility when playing bad teams. They only beat the Broncos by 6, the Jags by 10? So why not Texans +14.5 as the play?

4 PM Game

New England Patriots at Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders letting Baker Mayfield march down the field and upset them was enough for me to never bet on them again. Because the Pats defense saved my fantasy season, and the fact that it's a McDaniels reunion game, the Patriots +1.5 is my lock of the weekend.

Sunday Night Football

New York Giants at Washington Commanders

The biggest game of the weekend, and the biggest NFC implications for primetime. This weekend cannot end in a tie again, and I am selfishly rooting for the Giants. It's a New York state of mind, and it's time to get back to the playoffs. Giants +4.5 and to win. LET'S GO BIG BLUE!
