The Bronx Tales: IT'S VOLPENING DAY! Anthony Volpe has made the Yankees Roster.

When dreams turn into reality... When Anthony Volpe was 10, he said he wanted to play for the New York Yankees when he grew up. Now, at 21 years old and the number five top prospect in all of baseball, Aaron Boone and Brian Cashman have announced that he's made the Opening Day roster. LET'S GO!!!

They did it, they actually did it. The ambiguity of the quotes coming out about the roster was just odd. "No decisions have been made", "it's an open competition", "he's young", it's all be up in the air. Yet, there was no way they could look past the numbers this spring. He slashed a line of .308/.438/.590 . He has an OPS of 1.028. Five doubles, two homers, five stolen bases, 8 walks, and excellent defense. It was a no brainer.

He's earned the respect of the vets on the team. He wow'd the fans and the Yankees of the past. He has caught the attention of the media. And now he get's a chance to embark on his Yankee career. At 21 years old, he now is the youngest player in a Yankees Opening Day lineup since Derek Jeter in 1996. DEREK JETER. Is history about to repeat itself???

The future is now, the rookie of the year race begins, and chase for 28 is back on...

IT'S VOLPENING DAY BABY!!!
