Wooooooo. A chilly 40 degree day, but it doesn't matter, baseball is back, and so are the Yankees. I absolutely love Opening Day. I've been waiting for this. March Madness has become the sites bread and butter, but House was built on baseball during the COVID lockout.
The pageantry and excitement creates such a buzz, and I can't wait for this season to start. Now... am I totally in love with the roster? No. Am I concerned with the injuries already? Yes. However, it's the Yankees. Let's be honest. People are mad because they didn't spend like the Mets are make the fancy trade. It doesn't matter. This team is a playoff contender, and will continue to rise the ranks.
I think Gerrit Cole is going to shove this season. Aaron Judge is going to repeat. Rizzo, Stanton, DJLM, and Torres are all going to have big years. The young duo of Volpe and Cabrera will wow some folks. It's going to be a good year, that hopefully results in No. 28.
But I digress. It's a long season, and the focus is today. Here are my plays for Opening Day. LET'S GO YANKS!
Yankees Moneyline (-180)
In franchise history, the Yankees are 67-52-1 on Opening Day and 37-18-1 when the season opener is a home game. The Yankees enter Thursday's contest with a 80-39-1 all-time record in home openers. The Giants missed out on Judge, and lost Rodon to the Bronx. They'll come in with vengeance, but this team ain't losing game one.

No better way to kick off your Captaincy then smacking the first of hopefully 63 this season right to the short porch.
Anthony Volpe Hits/Runs/RBI's O 1.5 (+135) & Stolen Bases O 0.5 (+400)
Hitting in the nine spot, this is the perfect opportunity for the Rookie to collect a hit, drive somebody in, or even score on a DJLM RBI or Judge homer. Welcome to the show! The kid also swiped 50 bags last season, so might as well throw that in here.
NY Yankees: Team Total Runs Over 3.5 (-145) & NY Yankees ML / Over 7.5 (+215)
The over hit five of the last six times. I think there is a hunger in this team, and some passionate fans gracing the ballpark. I expect a high scoring affair.
