ESPN 30 for 30 presents... How Ole Miss found their punter at a Frat House.
Sigma Tau and former Punter, Charlie Pollock, was chilling down at his house, getting ready for the semester ahead. Now, he's on the Rebels roster, getting ready for the preseason ranked 20th Ole Miss.
I could only wish that a football coach, let alone Lane Kiffin, discovered me while I was at school. I wasn't a former D1 athlete, but I played high school ball.
I mean, imagine having a nice night of intramural flag football. You ripped the bars and chilled down at the house with your boys, and the next day the football coach of your D1 school signs you.
Now Pollock isn't some washed athlete from High School. He was Nevada's former special teamer during the 2020 season. On scholarship, Pollock was ranked a two-star recruit and the No. 13 punter in the 2020 recruiting class, per 247Sports.com.
Pollock averaged 39.9 yards per punt as a high school senior, with a long of 59 in his career. Not Badddd. The 2020 season was his lone year at Nevada, before entering the transfer portal.
Still, life comes at you fast, and one of the nations top coaches snagged you after a kegger. Livin' the dream. I might have to reach out for an NIL deal right now.
