What a start to the week for the Mets. After the worst day of my sports life Friday, 72 hours later things have turned around. This is pretty incredible. I saw Andy Martino tweet it first this morning, but waited until a real reporter confirmed it. However, have to give credit to 90s Mets legend Carlos Baerga who posted this last night on Instagram:

The Mets now have two big dogs at the top of their rotation. Verlander and Scherzer are reuniting after they both spent time in Detroit. All Detroit Tigers fans should just be Mets fan this year; you guys will have a lot more fun.
This is not the end of the spending spree for Stevie. This is just the beginning. We need to acquire a 3rd starter or resign Bassit but he was looking for 3-4 year deal with the Mets were not thrilled about. Right now the Mets rotation is looking like that horse meme where the first half is the best drawing of all time and the other half looks like it was done by a preschooler.
