In their first matchup since meeting in the opening round of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Hudson River Rivalry picked up right where it left off with big hits, high levels of drama, and warring fanbases in the stands.

The New York Rangers took this one in stunning fashion, coming back from a 3-2 deficit late in the third to win the game 5-3.

In the following days, New Jersey Devils Twitter has been a great place to be. There is nothing Devils fans hate more than losing to the Rangers, and it shows, as one measly regular season loss is liable to ruin their entire week. What's even worse than a loss to your big brothers from across the Hudson? How about your team inviting the road fans down onto the ice after said loss? Well, that's exactly what happened, and Devils Twitter has been up in arms ever since.

But what's even better than Devils fans finding out about this? Is that it's apparently been under their noses for quite some time now, and they never knew about it. Rival fanbases have been getting the red carpet rolled out for them at the Prudential Center since the dawn of time.
