We got some awesome football this past week on both sides of the ball. The Ravens and Bengals had an offensive shootout, the Lions and Texans defenses one-upped each other every drive, and kickers decided five games this week - for better or worse.
Week 11 Power Rankings
Teams to Note
Pittsburgh Steelers (Rose 3 spots)
Props to Pitt, they're far better than I thought they would be this season. Russell Wilson looks like his old self, the offensive line finally looks good for the first time in half a decade, and the defense is once again lights out.
Chicago Bears (Dropped 4 spots)
If the Bears didn't fire Shane Waldron, they would have dropped further. Adjacently, the reason they dropped so far is because Matt Eberflus is still on staff. I think this Bears team can be good with who they have on roster, but winning games against teams who are a combined 15-33 on the season isn't a good look either.
Week 10 Awards
Awards | AFC | NFC |
Offensive MVP | Ja'Marr Chase | Chuba Hubbard |
Defensive MVP | Nnamdi Madubuike | Carlton Davis |
Special Teams MVP | Tommy Townsend | Jake Bates |
Trench Tyrant | Tyler Linderbaum | Chris Lindstrom |
Relentless Rookie | Dell Pettus | Jared Verse |
Winners to Note
Dell Pettus
The Pats rookie safety has gotten a ton of playing time in four of the past five games, and he had his best game yet against the Bears. He recorded a sack on his only pass rush, generated 2 stops + TFLs, and broke up a pass on the only target that came his way. It wasn't a flashy performance by any means, but he made plays when the ball came his way, and he generated a 78.4 overall defensive grade as a result.
Jared Verse
If you watched Monday Night Football, then you got a clear introduction into the type of player Verse can be. He has a ton of raw power that he put on display against Miami, which led to 5 pressures and a strip sack, 4 stops + TFLs, and a nearly elite 89.7 defensive grade. He's been the frontrunner for DROY, and was the best rookie leaguewide this week.
Nnamdi Madubuike
The Ravens defense hasn't been their usual self this season, but Nnamdi set the tone for them on Thursday night. He had an NFL-leading 10 pressures and 3 sacks against the Bengals, which included a strip sack. He also added 4 stops + TFLs in the run game, giving him a complete performance from the interior.

Player | Bryce Young | Tyler Allgeier | Jameson Williams | Theo Johnson | Mason Tipton |
Projected | 13.0 | 7.5 | 9.2 | 6.8 | 7.7 |
Actual | 12.04 | 5.9 | 8.3 | 7.7 | 0.0 |
Difference | -0.96 | -1.6 | -0.9 | 0.9 | -7.7 |
Result | Push | Push | Push | Push | Bust |
Season Totals: 14 Booms / 19 Pushes / 17 Busts
Note: Allgeier was stuffed three plays straight at the 1 yard line, and MVS ended up scoring 25.9 points. Guess I just picked the wrong Saints receiver.
Week 11 Prediction
QB: Caleb Williams vs Green Bay Packers (proj. 13.8 points)
With a new offensive coordinator at the helm, expect Caleb to get easier reads and plays designed to get him in space to get some confidence under his belt. Williams was on fire before the bye week, and I think his projection is laughably low considering Chicago just dumped Shane Waldron.
RB: Alexander Mattison vs Miami Dolphins (proj. 10.0 points)
Similar to the Bears QB1, Mattison will be a beneficiary of Luke Getsy's firing. While I don't think Mattison is the best RB in the world, I think the offense will flow through him on Sunday and the Raiders will look to him for around 15 touches, if not more.
WR: Quentin Johnston vs Cincinnati Bengals (proj. 9.3 points)
Quentin has been targeted at least 4 times in all but two games this season - both of which he scored a TD in. Cincy's pass D has been suspect all year, and I expect Herbert to target him on some deep shots once again.
TE: Jonnu Smith vs Las Vegas Raiders (proj. 8.9 points)
Jonnu has slowly become a focal point within the Dolphins offense, as he's commanded a total of 31 targets in the past five games combined. The Raiders are putrid against TEs from a fantasy perspective, so this looks to be a pretty easy play this week.
Flex: Kayshon Boutte vs Los Angeles Rams (proj. 8.3 points)
Don't look now, but Kayshon has quietly become the Patriots WR1 over the past few weeks. He's been targeted 6 times in each game over the past three contests, and he has yet to really cash in on it. I expect his luck to turn this week.

Final Notes
These next few weeks should pave way for who will truly compete for a top pick in the draft, and who will fight for a playoff spot through the final four weeks. In the meantime, I'll be compiling my Dark Horse candidates from the preseason and tracking how they've performed throughout the regular season.
