Reaction

I hate to be too hyped too early, but we could be watching one of the best St. John's teams we've seen in a long time. After their 82-64 win over Colgate, it's clear that Mike Anderson's squad has really come into it's own. As someone that's seen them play in person this season, I can say that they're really the complete package, and could make some serious noise in the Big East. At the center of St. John's success is their veteran duo of Julian Champagnie and Posh Alexander, whose offense and scoring abilities when on the floor together are nothing short of magnificent. Joel Soriano is a monster in the paint, giving the Johnnies the defensive boost they need. Even when none of these guys are on the court, the St. John's bench has made some major contributions, scoring 34 points against Colgate.

Iona, second on the list, is looking as good as ever. While Rick Pitino's statements to the press usually feature a decent amount of cynicism, it's clear that he's happy with the way his team has been developing so far this season. If you want to check out how they did against Yale this weekend, as well as how Fordham did against Miami, check out my recap here.
