House Enterprise Fantasy Sports; Season 1, Ep. 17 + 18

We're halfway through and we still have football (kinda), the NFL trade deadline, COVID closures, Week 8 recap, and what's going on in Week 9

Alright, folks, we're halfway through the season, and damn.... we still have football? I don't know how the 49ers fielded a team with all of their injuries and a recent COVID outbreak. It is hard to keep up this week with all of the teams and players that have COVID, between the Elections and the Bachelorette, but I digress. As this blog is being typed out, the Packers and facing off against those diminished 49ers.

On top of all of that, we had the NFL Trade Deadline pass by like tumbleweed, and no major trades were made as the analysts assumed would happen. Teams definitely bolstered on defense, getting guys like Yannick Ngokue (Ravens), Carlos Dunlap (Seahawks), Desmond King (Titans), and Kwon Alexander (Saints). Probably the biggest addition over the course of the week (similar to LeVeon Bell), was the Buccaneers officially signing Antonio Brown.

Moves you can make

As some big names are returning from injury (McCaffrey), others head to the IR for quite some time or the remainder of the season (Kittle, Jimmy G, OBJ, the list goes on). Here are some players you can add that will help bolster your team.

QB

- Tua Tagovailoa (Dolphins)

- Drew Lock (Broncos)

- Derek Carr (Raiders)

RB

- Nyheim Hines (Colts)

- DeeJay Dallas (Seahawks)

- Wayne Gallman (Giants)

WR

- Jalen Regor (Eagles)

- Allen Lazard (Packers)

- Randall Cobb (Texans)

TE

- Austin Hooper (Browns)

- Trey Burton (Colts)

- Jordan Reed (49ers)

D/ST + K

Fly with the best available!

Nobody knows what kind of production you can expect from Antonio Brown, but many fantasy owners already assumed he would get picked up and have him hidden on their bench. Mike Evans is hit or miss each week, and Godwin is injury prone. If he is available, why not give it a try?

League Standing and Weekly Matchups

It is still anyone's game, except for Boston Beers, he is going to need to make a run. This week we have Tondo against Basel, Zimmer versus Densen, Mastrianni against Ford, and Hanold vs. James. Ben gets the bye, lucky for him because half his team is on a bye.

Week 8 Results

Week 9 Picks Right now, this week's unanimous picks are the Packers (secured the W), Chiefs, Cardinals, Steelers, Buccaneers, and Patriots. Can the Panthers upset the Chiefs? Is AB enough for the Bucs to beat the Saints? Can the Pats clean it up and keep the Jets winless? Who knows, but we will all be watching closely Sunday.
